Portfolio Preparation for College bound High School students

Students wanting to apply to college for studies in Fine Arts are required to submit a portfolio showing a specific body of art work. This body of work takes time and experience to prepare. Examples of carefully observed drawings of actual objects and the human form, as well as drawing examples which show an understanding of perspective, proportions, composition and value, are expected.  A grasp of basic painting and design and well presented journals which reflect individuality and creativity, help to show the range and depth of the student’s interest and commitment.  At the end of the series of lessons, students will have several finished studies suitable for their portfolio and will also have the tools to continue adding to their best examples.

Lessons are offered on a private or semi-private basis. At least 10 hours of instruction is recommended. Students and their families may also wish to schedule a private consultation and review of work.   Please call for tuition rates and scheduling.
